LIONS STUMBLE, NOW PREPARE FOR PLAYOFFS
Lynden(7-2, 5-2) 16- Sehome(6-3, 4-3) 20

Playoff-bound Lynden lost 20-16 in the waning moments at Rollie DeKoster Field on a 19-yard touchdown pass by Sehome. Lynden's first points came off a 37-yard field goal by Elijah Tadema. TJ Busch added a 3-yard touchdown in the second quarter, part of his 102 yards on 19 carriers. Jordan Stenersen scored the Lions second and last touchdown, running untouched up the middle for seven yards. Stenersen had 29 yards on 8 carries.
Darrell Visser had a season high 95 yards on 5 receptions.

Heading into the post season Lynden's defense will need to bring the level of play up. The Lions' have improved all season, only having a few mistakes last week. The deep pass by Sehome gave them troubles all night. The Sehome running attack was stopped all night by the Lions. Pass coverage killed the Lions in this game. The defense was led by Dave Wall and James Powell each having five tackles. Both of the Lynden linebackers played well, Gabe Cantu and Brad Faupel had four tackles each.

Next Game: Lynden will be playing the first ranked Lakes Lancers out of Tacoma. Lakes is sporting a record of nine and zero. The Lions' last meeting with the Lancers ended in a 60-34 rout in favor of Lakes.
